Before the Blog- The First Art Show

My first year, we had an advisory period in which I was able to hold art club.  Some of the students I had in my regular class and other did not.   It was  mix of 7th and 8th graders which I really loved since I wasn't able to have 8th graders in class.  They worked really hard and brought home four awards from our Quad County UIL Art competition. 

One of my favorite memories from this year was helping my student with his mosaic.  We got some goggles from the science department and set up an area in my storage room and he just got a kick out of breaking plates for his project.  He brought home 1st place!
